Players of the Week 1A Boys: Seth Blackford (Marion), Kevin Lopez & Jaylen Saengchanpheng (Storm Lake) Blackford went 6-0 last week for the Indians at the top spots in both singles and doubles and helped Marion come away with a win against Oelwein. Blackford captured decisive wins in all of his matches against Oelwein, Waverly Shell-Rock and Union.  Lopez and Saengchanpheng helped the Tornadoes claim a 7-2 win over Cherokee Washington at the number one and two singles spots, and teamed together for a win a number one doubles. Over the weekend, the duo won the doubles title at the Atlantic Invitational. 

Players of the Week 2A Boys: Steven Danna, Waukee (Sr.) Danna has had an incredibly eventful last year or more battling and BEATING bone cancer, not to mention he also had his knee replaced. Not being sure if he was going to be able to play this season, very glad to see him back on the court for the Warriors. Danna went 5-0 last week in his singles and doubles matches combined and helped Waukee score a big win over #4 Valley.
